TOM PETRIDIS

3D Designer
A passionate story teller and 3D digital designer. Currently honing skills for designing full 3D environments with rich universes, narratives and immersive worlds. I’m learning to be a Environment and VFX artist and solidifying these skills by sharing and teaching other students at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne.
DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
3D MODELING
Topology, modelling, texturing/
unwrapping & animating of 3D
objects in Blender for Unity.

Using Substance Painter to
create textures, Blender’s
modifiers & Cycles & Eevee
render engines.
VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS
Curating virtual environments
inside Unity & Blender.
Implementing interaction and
narrative.

Using colour, sound, light,
scripting & animation to create
virtual environments.
PHOTOGRAMMETRY & RETOPOLOGY
Using Lidar scanning technology to render 3D scans of objects, then retopologise in Blender to create optimised 3D assets for game engines and friendly for mobile phones.

3D scanning, Normal baking and Texture baking.
